Hi, I’m LoRena Mumaw, the designer behind Rena’s Custom Creations. I create bold, artistic foundation paper piecing quilt patterns for quilters who love color, detail, and a little bit of challenge.I’ve been quilting since 2020 and have a background in longarm quilting, which has given me a deep appreciation for both the creative and technical sides of quilting. Over the years, quilting has grown from a creative outlet into a true passion and business that allows me to share my designs with makers around the world.My designs are inspired by everything from nature and animals to fantasy, stained glass, geometric art, and modern illustration. Whether it’s a stylish pup from my Dapper Dogs series, a poisonous bloom from Midnight Garden, or a dramatic dragon design, I love turning creative ideas into patterns that feel unique and rewarding to sew.I specialize in foundation paper piecing (FPP) patterns that are carefully broken into manageable sections with clear labeling and organized layouts to help make even complex designs approachable. My goal is to create patterns that are not only beautiful when finished, but enjoyable to piece along the way.Outside of quilting, I’m a busy mom to three kids, two pups, and a turtle, so life is always full of creativity, chaos, and inspiration. When I’m not designing, you’ll usually find me baking treats, gardening, quilting, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy teaching classes, planning new quilt series, and dreaming about one day opening my own quilt shop in northwest Ohio.Thank you for supporting my small business and being part of this creative journey.
